Union Grove Distillery is a Catskills gem – producing unique, award-winning craft spirits and serving quality cocktails out of small-town Arkville, NY. The farm distillery’s spirits, tasting room, and hospitality are consistently praised by locals, visitors, and critics alike.
Despite no prior experience producing spirits, owners Brian Mulder and Todd Pascarella managed to create one of New York’s highly-rated craft distilleries. Their flagship product – the Vly Creek Vodka – was one of Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Spirits of 2019.
Union Grove’s Catskill Mountain Maple Spirit is perhaps its most interesting – described as a “rum-style but don’t call it rum” spirit that’s distilled from local Tree Juice maple syrup and aged in bourbon barrels. The distillery also produces a rye whiskey and a gin that’s made with Catskills-sourced ginseng, lavender, and horseradish.
Union Grove’s spirits are available at its tasting room and cocktail lounge, which has become a beloved communal gathering place for its quiet corner of the Catskills. There you’ll find a creative menu of cocktails and infusions built around each of its spirits, warm hospitality, and frequent events with live music.
