The Herwood Inn may be the perfect Woodstock stay. The boutique property’s design is infectiously fun and creative, it’s walking distance from the main strip, and – fitting to its hometown – its rooms are dedicated as tributes to iconic women musicians.
The highlight of the inn’s four rooms and suites – named after the likes of Jodi Mitchell and Aretha Franklin – is their colorful and playful design. From well-curated shelves and walls to some very attractive bathrooms, owners Em Atkins and June Peterson did an excellent job bringing life to each space.
The rooms – two of which can sleep up to 4 – come with a kitchenette, a record player, and a private patio or backyard. And thanks to the abundant plants, air purifiers, and diffusers, you can feel confident that you’ll be breathing in some quality air.
For outdoor hangs before or after your weekend explorations, the property features a communal backyard, complete with a trendy patio and a cedar hot tub. There’s also The Commune, the property’s inviting hang space for snacks, drinks, and merch.
In keeping with Woodstock’s conscious culture, The Herwood Inn sources only eco-friendly, cruelty-free, and fair-trade supplies, while prioritizing partnerships with women & minority-lead businesses.
