9 River Road’s small-town charm can be imagined in a series of tranquil moments: a rocking chair upon a screened-in porch. A nap by the fire. A bike ride along the river.
The inn is set in a restored home – built in 1884 – in the quiet Catskills town of Callicoon, NY. It resides along the Delaware River, right at the border between New York and Pennsylvania.
With just eight rooms, it’s an intimate and peaceful escape back to simplicity. An hours-long session spent in a hammock or a rocking chair is not unheard of around these parts.
Callicoon’s main street is a short walk away, featuring Sullivan County’s oldest movie theater, antique shops, and the Callicoon Brewing Company. Bikes are available for rides around town and by the water.
